Our Story
Think Marilyn Monroe met Mrs. Claus at a holiday party, fell in love with the Andrews Sisters, and decided to start a singing group. That's us.
Founded by vocalist Sara Abernethy, The Sleigh Belles were born from a lifelong obsession with old Hollywood glamour, a deep love of the craft of ensemble singing, and — let's be honest — an inexhaustible passion for Christmas.
Each singer is a trained, working musician with a real performance career behind her. We take the music seriously — three-part harmony is not for the faint of heart — but we never take ourselves too seriously. The result is something that tends to stop a room: rich, full, vintage-gorgeous vocal harmony that feels like it came straight from a 1950s variety show and landed right in the middle of your holiday party.

I’ve always been obsessed with all things vintage. As a teenager, I couldn’t get enough of Frank Sinatra, Audrey Hepburn, and golden-era movie musicals like “Singin’ In The Rain” and “Oklahoma”. As a classically trained singer, I have always been drawn to ensemble singing, particularly the blend of three voices together. There’s something incredibly special about a vocal trio, the roundness of it, that hits you right in the soul every time. My hope is for the Sleigh Belles to bring a bit of extra sparkle and joy to your next holiday occasion.
